Lust Nexus! Now here’s a website I’ve been looking for, but had trouble finding for a while. This is LustNexus.com, and they cater free online porn games to the masses. And no, you don’t need a fancy PC to run these! These games run either on the Ren’Py engine or HTML, and they are fully optimized for iOS, Android, PC, and Mac. In other words, you can pop right in, find a game to get lost in, spend a whole hour playing it as I did before writing this review, and then fuck right off. Obviously, not all games are worth your time! Some contain AI slop. Others are half-decent and seem like they have some thought put into them. Today I click through Ren’Py scripts that forget what I selected three screens ago and still expect me to stay hard. But look, it’s no use comparing these browser games to games that took a whole production team and years of development. Let’s back off for a minute and focus on the popular games, the shit everyone is playing. Currently, the big three here are Project Hivemind, a visual novel game where you play as a lab-grown parasite that escapes a research facility. Infest new hosts, unlock skills, and acquire power while trying to build a solid nest while trying not to draw too much attention.
Then there’s Echoes Of Enigma, a sandbox game where your father disappears for some reason, probably to buy milk. Your job is to find him by exploring an open world full of secrets, strange people, and fresh meat to pound. It’s one of those games where you gotta make choices, build and maintain relationships, that kind of crap. And then there’s The Auferas House, another visual game where you play a young man who arrives at a secluded house deep in the woods and must survive the night there to secure an inheritance. As the night unfolds, your choices pull you into different romances with the women of the house.
That’s the big three on LustNexus, but you are free to explore other titles and settle for whatever suits your needs and vibe. I personally respect a story where writers/developers KILL their best characters! You cannot keep the same untouchable staple alive through every single progression just because the fans will cry. I want the lesson shoved in my face that even the strongest piece of meat can still crumble! Make the player feel the loss the same way a bad Ren’Py script makes me feel when the dialogue options stop making sense. If the game is already running on web engines, at least give the plot the guts those engines never had.
The Same Damn Vampire!
Honestly, I did not settle for any of these popular games at all! Instead, I played two titles. One of them got boring after ten minutes of gameplay. The other one had me struggling and crafting strategies for an hour straight until I gave up and began writing this review. Let’s start off with the boring crap: Brothel Slop. It’s categorized as a visual novel game, but honestly it’s one of those click-and-grind games where you hire employees who work in your brothel. They make money by getting their holes stuffed by the customers. You spend that money on upgrades, and… that’s it! You don’t really get a lot of things to do here, other than AI slop animations of the characters doing naughty shit, hence the name. As I said, I played for barely ten minutes, got bored, and left.
Then, I focused my attention on Sanguis Ex Heros, an open-world text game where you play as a vampire in a world full of superheroes and villains. You get to choose how corrupt or innocent you’ll be. You need to drain blood from your victims, either by making them your servants or killing rats to barely survive. There are items you could buy, magic spells you can learn, and enemies that sporadically appear as the days roll by. Stats play a big role here! You get the option to train your strength, dexterity, perception, intelligence, and charisma. And killing your enemies allows you to consume their soul, which unlocks special abilities. This game has A LOT of depth.
You need to strategise, prepare for boss fights, and of course, fuck pretty girls because you’re a vampire who sucks blood and fucks forever. I kept failing one way or another. Either the vampire hunting me after a couple of days killed me, or I got caught by the cops feeding on a bandit. After my millionth attempt at restarting and desperately trying to beat the first vampire that was after me, I gave up!
But look, I ain’t complaining! Complaining about games being too easy is not all that different from complaining about games being too hard! The point is: you are still complaining! I’m not one of those guys who rages at an HTML porn game because the grind finished too fast, then five minutes later the same person screams because the next Ren’Py game refuses to let them cum without solving a spreadsheet of stats. I already spent an hour dying to the same vampire hunter in a text window that looks like it was coded during a lunch break. I do not need a second opinion about whether the difficulty slider was set correctly! The game already decided I was not ready… My only job after that is to close the window instead of writing an essay about why the HTML engine personally wronged me.
Dev Or Not, Give It A Shot!
