Mama’s son and daughter in law lived with her, and the two couldn’t stop fucking each other. Mama would constantly walk in on them necking one another or grabbing ass. In 1995, a new network called The WB launched and was in need of some traditional yet cutting-edge content. Similarly to what Fox tried and succeeded with another sitcom, Married With Children nearly a decade prior. The WB decided to go with the sitcom Unhappily Ever After, which featured Nikki Cox as the teenage daughter.

Unhappily Ever After was a smash hit for the time. At exactly 100 episodes, it was able to go into syndication around the world, and lasted for about 10 years or so. Immediately after Unhappily Ever After, Nikki Cox jumped straight over to ABC and starred in the Norm Macdonald sitcom The Norm Show.

Nikki Cox starred in The Norm Show for most of its three seasons before heading back to The WB to get her very own sitcom, Nikki. Portraying the role of Nikki White, a showgirl living in Las Vegas with her professional wrestler husband. It featured plenty of workplace antics as Nikki White tried to navigate a work life balance at the worst casino in Las Vegas while maintaining her relationship with her husband’s also-demanding job.

The show was a decent hit in the first season. The WB ordered a new season and ran it for 16 episodes before pulling the remaining six due to low ass ratings. Afterward, she found her new breakout role on the drama Las Vegas.

I suppose watching Nikki Cox dress up like a spider’s egg sac and dancing in Nikki gave whoever the fuck was behind Las Vegas the idea to cast her. Whatever the reason may have been, Nikki Cox excelled in her role as Mary Connell. But she didn’t show up in the last season of Las Vegas.

Nikki Cox’s relationships

Nikki Cox had two relationships on the sitcom Unhappily Ever After: one with star Kevin Connolly and the other with comedian Bobcat Goldthwait. The Bobcat was close to 30 years older than her when they began to date and then got engaged. Ultimately, the two broke it off.
