For the rest of the 2000s, Sasha Alexander starred in a slew of romantic comedies. She most famously starred in the Jim Carrey comedy Yes Man during this time. Sasha Alexander also starred in a TV series called The Nine that was getting marketed to be a new fucking hit in the style of Lost, but it was ultimately canceled. Probably because the entire series centered around a fucking bank heist, which sounds goddamn boring.

For a while, it looked like Sasha Alexander wouldn’t find a role that matched her time on NCIS. But that was not the case, as Sasha Alexander would be cast in perhaps her most famous role to date. And again, she’d be playing someone that knows how to fucking wield a gun!

Sasha Alexander finds her biggest role to date

Though Sasha Alexander ended the 2000s on a bit of a lull, it would be in 2010 that she would land her biggest and longest role to date: Dr. Maura Isles on the crime drama Rizzoli & Isles. It was a smash hit, and arguably TNT’s most popular drama of the early 2010s. In fact, it could be the network’s biggest hit, ever!

It stars a detective named Rizzoli and her best friend, medical examiner Maura Isles solving cases together. Though it seems like a pretty fucking standard buddy-cop show, it was embraced by the lesbian community around that time. One celebrity went so far as to say that it was a lesbian show that didn’t know it yet.

Obviously they never scissored one another, because I’d be telling you about it right now.
