It’s a decent short film, and Giorgia Whigham stands out among the other cast members as the character Nadia. Others must have thought the same thing, because that same year, Giorgia Whigham was cast as Toria in one episode of the funny as fuck show Shameless. Later in the year, she starred as Shannon in several episodes of the animated series Son of Zorn.

But she would land her biggest role to date on the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why as Kat. It was a fairly controversial show for the time, and her role led her to other coveted roles on television series like The Orville and Chance the following year.

Giorgia Whigham also landed roles in several films around this time. Giorgia Whigham was cast as Amy Bendix in the Netflix series The Punisher. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, Giorgia Whigham’s portrayal of Amy Bendix differed from the original version of the character. Amy Bendix originally appeared in an issue of The Punisher War Zone in 1994, and she was totally different than Giorgia Whigham’s portrayal.

For starters, Amy Bendix in the comics is mentally challenged and hides The Punisher (Frank Castle) in her treehouse. Some crazy shit happens, she’s held at gunpoint by thugs after her father arrests him (since he’s the goddamn sheriff by chance), Frank Castle stalls the thugs, and the sheriff fucking snipes them. Yeah, like a goddamn sheriff in a small town knows how to snipe!

The minds at Netflix must have thought that this was fucking ridiculous, so they changed Amy Bendix’s character to be more sly. In the Netflix version of The Punisher, Amy Bendix is a swindler who lives on the streets and saw her friends get murdered. She’s on the run from bad people just like Frank Castle, and after he saves her during a chance encounter, he watches after her.

Giorgia Whigham portrayed Amy Bendix in every episode of the first season of The Punisher. The Netflix series turned out to be one of its most successful series to date. It’s considered arguably the best Netflix original amongst the Marvel properties it helped to put on the small screen during this era, and it absolutely showed what Giorgia Whigham was capable of as an actress. So it’s unsurprising to see that Giorgia Whigham began getting more lucrative roles in series that you’ve probably seen at least once or twice.

Giorgia Whigham’s career gains momentum

Once Giorgia Whigham had left her mark on The Punisher and Netflix as a whole, she moved on to another role entirely. This time, she starred in the third and final season of the horror anthology series Scream, based on the film franchise of the same name. This season was known as Scream Resurrection and was a complete retooling of the series.
