Have you seen The Big Bang theory? You probably have, and probably against your will at that - or maybe it was your go-to easy-watching TV show? Kaley Cuoco’s definitely a key reason why that show lasted as long as it did, and the show itself is mostly where people know her from - either that or ABC’s 8 Simple Rules.

And speaking of her parents, both of them (Layen Ann Wingate & Gary Carmine Cuoco) were involved in the entertainment industry in some way, with her mother being a former actress herself who retired from acting and started working as a homemaker, whereas her father was a realtor who had connections in the entertainment industry.

That being said, it’s safe to establish that Kaley had a pretty good shot at becoming a famous actress right from the start, especially when you consider her early exposure to her mother’s acting background, as well as her parent’s connections. Plus, Kaley’s born in California, so she was already in close vicinity to Hollywood as is. If Kaley’s key role as Bridgette in 8 Simple Rules made her a successful TV actress, then her role as Penny in the even more popular and longer Big Bang Theory indefinitely cemented her as one of the most successful and recognizable TV actresses of all time. Now, 12 seasons means 12 whole years of having a stable acting job, and Kaley made quite a fortune from her role as Penny, the pretty blonde girl in Big Bang Theory - as a matter of fact, it’s estimated that Kaley made almost a whopping 150 million from starring in the show, which means that she made around 12 million per year while the show was airing. So now that she’s set for life, what else is she doing with her acting job?

Kaley’s Still Landing Big Roles In Shows And Movies Well After Big Bang Theory’s Ending

This 37-year-old actress doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon by the looks of it, since she’s still starring in shows and movies regardless of the fact that she’s already made a fortune. Nowadays, Kaley’s most prolific work is providing the voice of Harley Quinn in some animated Harley Quinn series which I had no idea even existed until now, and she’s also featured in other shows and movies too. And yeah, I’ll admit it, she definitely looks younger than 37 (I mean, don’t all actresses? Plus, it’s hard not to with 150 mil). And I’ll also say this; the fact that Kaley’s equal parts pretty and good at acting is definitely working out for her, since she still seems to be the go-to pretty blonde in a lot of the works that she’s cast in.

I’m no Kaley Cuoco expert or anything, but she does seem to always end up getting these kinds of “pretty girl-esque” roles, even now at 37. It’s more than clear that “pretty blonde girl” is her typecast, and I guess a lot of studio execs are willing to cast her in their productions since she’s proven that she can hold down the same boring pretty blonde girl role for 12 years straight. It’s hard to imagine Kaley being cast as anything else besides a pretty blonde girl; she can’t kick ass like Gal Gadot or be genuinely funny like Aubrey Plaza, and she doesn’t have a sort of “sophisticated vibe” like Anya Taylor-Joy does, nor does she command half of all Gen Z kids like Zendaya does. But despite all that, the pretty blonde girl identity is still relevant, and financially speaking, it’s proven to work out marvelously for the 37-year-old actress.
