Our Home 2 sure has an innocuous name, doesn’t it? It’s so sparkly clean that you’d never guess there was anything pervy going on over there if you weren’t reading about it on a site like ThePornDude. Hell, even after spotting the babe on her knees in the site’s logo, all that intro text about “hobbying” threw me for a loop. Maybe it’s a product of the site’s age, founded more than a decade ago. Most of the other websites I review in this category refer to the practice in more explicit terms; instead of “hobbying,” I usually say, “banging escorts.”

Yes, ladies and gentlemen and johns, they may be dancing around the facts out on the front page, but home.ourhome2.net is a discussion forum devoted to escorts and their customers. Most hooker sites these days roll with a directory-style format, which makes me wonder if forums are an outdated way to deliver this valuable data. At the same time, it isn’t common for the directories I’m talking about to have full-on discussion areas, so I can already see the appeal. For what it’s worth, Our Home 2 is pulling nearly a million visits a month, which tells me there’s some action to be found inside.

Open to the Public and the Private(s)

I want to talk for a second about OurHome2.net’s secretive nature. The word “escort” doesn’t appear anywhere on the front page. Instead, they make numerous references to “hobbying,” which they often put in quotes, as well as companions. In other words, the customers and the sluts, but in much vaguer language. The site further obscures itself with the wonky link: OurHome2.net leads to an empty “Hello World” screen, with the actual forum found at home.ourhome2.net. It’s a strange setup, to say the least, especially when the link is no secret.

I was a little worried the whole thing would be locked down and hidden, given the very private nature of the blurb and everything else, but they’ve got public forums visible to lurkers and private forums for verified members. They specify that the private forum members must be active participants in the hobby and go on to say, “Full active membership in this ‘hobbying’ community requires confirmed in-person person+person intimate adult activities.” I know that sounds like an absolute fucking pain in the ass, and maybe it is, but sometimes the difficult clubs to get into are the best.

So what exactly does the verification process entail? Well, I’ve seen many sites ask for a photo of you holding up a photo ID and/or a piece of paper with the date, and I’ve even had to do video verification a time or two. OurHome2 is serious about that person-to-person shit, though, so the only way to get fully verified is by having another member vouch for you. Unfortunately, that means I can’t tell you much about the private areas until I hump one of these whores and then ask for her endorsement.

When I’m reviewing escort directories, I like to see a no-signup setup, with everything available to lurkers without any kind of internet paper trail. Obviously, that anonymity can get shaken up if you want to chat on a forum or get into the deeper verified levels of the joint. It looks like OurHome2 may have been started originally to service the great state of Texas because the state’s got a whole board, separate from the rest of the USA, with subforums for cities like Austin, Dallas, and Fort Worth. The USA subforums break down into cities and states, depending on how populous the regions are. There’s a whole sub each for major metropolitan areas like Chicago Area and Kansas City Metro, but states like Ohio, Oklahoma, and Oregon have their constituent cities bundled together. The worldwide subs are much broader, with just three options: Canada, Mexico, or combined Asia and Europe.

Naturally, the number of ads is going to vary a lot from place to place. From what I saw, though, OurHome2 isn’t exactly hopping with new ads. Chicago hasn’t had a fresh post in over a week, and I know for a fact that they’ve got a ton of hookers. I might only know a handful of them personally, but the better escort directories always have hundreds to choose from.

So What’s the Deal with Our Home 2?

Given the relatively small number of actual escort listings, it’s hard to believe they’re responsible for all the traffic home.ourhome2.net gets. I mean, shit, pick any random escort site near the top of my list, and you’re almost guaranteed to find more local working girls in your town. That just begs the question, why are so many people still using the site? Sometimes the answer with older sites is just an aged user base who’s grown used to it over the years and prefers it, but I don’t think that’s it.

Could it be the Our Home 2 Gallery section, a collection of photos posted by members? Maybe, but I won’t know until I hump my way into the club. The Gallery link in the header just sends me to a page saying I don’t have permission, which suggests there’s some really good shit in there. I’d like to share my shots of neighborhood hussies, but I guess it’ll have to wait until that magic moment I grow up into a real OurHome2 member.

Really, though, I think I might know what the answer is. Our Home 2 is rich in valuable info and resources. In particular, I think newbies to the world of “hobbying” will find a lot of their questions answered. I’ve only seen a few escort directories with much in the way of FAQs or even acronym dictionaries, so newcomers are often lost trying to figure out what the fuck they’re supposed to do. Our Home 2 is arguably a hopping community, given how many visitors they get every day. As I type this up on a Wednesday morning, there are over 2000 users online. I wonder what they’re up to? Most of the subforums on the site haven’t had a recent post, but maybe I’m not seeing the best stuff just yet. That’s for a select few, and well, I’m determined to get there.

In the end, OurHome2.net is a different kind of recommendation than your average escort site. If you’re just looking to get laid tonight, nice and easy, and you already know what you’re doing, any of the big directories are probably a better bet. On the other hand, if you need more information about the whole process or you’d just like to interact with some other folks who share your hobby, Our Home 2 might be worth the visit. The secretive nature of their inner circle sure makes their private areas sound fun, but it’ll take a little legwork (and plenty of intense thrusting) to get in.
