Ok, this part actually surprised me a little bit. When I first arrived on RecordBate, I literally thought it was a free porn tube. It was weird seeing this much quality content being offered for free, with only a top and bottom banner ad to monetize the traffic. I was curious as to how they can stay afloat. Then, I tried opening my fourth video of the day and I got stonewalled.

Basically, this is not a free tube site. It’s a premium video site. You can watch three videos a day, as much as you want, but once you leave a specific video, that counts as a view. You can’t even go back to it even though you were just watching it. If you want to watch all the videos, infinitely, you have to get a paid subscription of $5.99 a month. That also removes the ads for you and bumps up the bandwidth in what they call priority access. The bandwidth was fine to begin with, so it’s really just the videos you’re paying for.

Six bucks for unlimited access to thousands of Chaturbate videos isn’t a bad deal, to be honest. Still, I was kind of surprised. I haven’t seen this business model often. It’s not very common. Usually, they cram ads in as much as possible and then charge you to remove them. Here, there are basically no ads at all, but you can’t use the site too often without paying. If you’re a simple once a day fapper, you can technically get away with using the free tier, if you only watch three videos a day and don’t close the tabs. But, that means that you have to judge the quality of the videos from the animated thumbnails. Once you open it up, you commit to it. That’s kind of shitty.

There’s also a premium tier at $12.99 a month. At this tier, you get a shitton of content with some added site functionality like sorting by model and even downloading videos.
