LubeMain

Wanking barehanded or slapping a condom on and diving into a hole can be great, but it’s not an ideal option for some people. After all, some guys have rough hands and overly sensitive dicks, and not all women are able to get as wet as needed to take a cock.

Not to mention the issue of anal. Trust me, no matter how tough or kinky you think you are, you don’t want to go in dry. It hardly feels good and can be hella dangerous for all parties involved.

Then I should bring up the fact that there are plenty of positive reasons to use lube. Whether you’re a single wanker or looking for an easy and affordable way to improve you and your lover’s sex life. I’ve got a complete review of some of the best lubricants you can find to help all of you out.

Let’s look at what not to use…

…or at least use these only under specific circumstances.

First, some jellies and liquids technically can be used to grease things up, but I wouldn’t use them for sex, and I’d be careful when using them for getting off alone. I’m sure a lot of fellas discovered a way to up their hand-on-self love during puberty using substances like Crisco or KY jelly.

That can be pretty safe when alone, but you should be careful when using organic materials for sex lube – and don’t use Crisco or any vegetable oil derivative. For that matter, I’d avoid stuff that contains high levels of glycerin (sugar) since it can promote fungal infections.

Generally speaking, over-the-counter KY and other petroleum substances – but not necessarily all oil-based lube – should be avoided for “real” sex altogether. Depending on the condoms or sex toys you are using, they may work or cause severe damage to both depending on what they are primarily made out of.

All of these substances can also leave some nasty stains on the sheets, which can be a bitch to remove.

Saliva and semen can be okay for wanking – though if you ask me, they run dry too quickly. Further, the first usually can’t be produced enough for any lasting gliding action, and the second requires you to knock one out beforehand. Risky gambit if you ask me.

Now let’s look at the good stuff

lube

Now don’t worry if you don’t know – there are a number of fine products that are compatible with different lube types as well as people’s needs and skin types. There is a lot to cover, but I wouldn’t skip around if I were you; there is a genital wetter on this post for any sort of sex and for every level of kinkiness.

Water-based lube

This is probably the easiest to find and cheapest to purchase. Just about every major adult supply store will carry at least a few water-based brands, and you should be able to find the same sorts in most sexual health clinics.

One thing you should watch out for is the water-based varieties that are made with glycerin. As I brought up earlier, this ingredient can cause a flare-up in vaginal fungal infections. So, I’d be careful about using these when you’re doing it in the v-hole.

Having said that, this kind of lube is excellent for anal sex. However, since you can hump through this lubricant pretty quick, I’d use even more than some of the others listed here. That or you should look into getting thicker varieties.

Silicon-based lube

When you balance out availability, price, safety, and the sensation factor, silicone lube is arguably the best you can find. They are safe to use, no matter what body part they come into contact with. You don’t have to worry about them cause any problems with most condom types.

Unlike water-based formulas, silicon lubes pack a lot more punch. When I say that, I mean that you only have to use a little bit to grease things up, and it’ll last longer. And since they don’t contain any glycerin, you don’t have to be concerned about things getting sticky and icky.

They may be somewhat harder to find in stores and lean towards the pricey side, but trust me, they are worth it.

Oil-based lube

Okay, this may sound a bit contradictory, but this is a lube-base you are going to want to be careful when using, especially when it comes to sex. For one, this form of lube isn’t safe to use with latex condoms and isn’t ideal for vaginal or anal sex.

If you are going to use them for banging, this form of lube can be paired with non-latex rubbers. However, I should bring up that I’m not a fan of latex-free Jimmy caps.

They are also likely to cause stains in fabric, which, unlike others, can be a pain in the ass to clean up after. But I do include them as recommended lubes for erotic massaging and, if you’re a guy, wanking.

The synthetic types like hand lotion and body creams can be found almost anywhere and for dirty cheap. Plus, the organic varieties like avocado and coconut oil are edible too, so there’s more fun to be had if you’re feeling horny and hungry.

Here are some awesome multi-purpose and massage emollient

Besides making your joy bits nice and slippery, there is some specialty sliding goo that can be used for other erotic purposes as well. Some of these brands can be used as a lotion for a good body rub but won’t irritation your intimate parts. Others even have some excellent health benefits, which should give you even more reason to use them.

Astroglide (the original formula)

Astroglide

Type: water-base

Rating: four and a half hands

This lube is pretty much ubiquitous as you can find it all over the web and, most likely, even in a mainstream shopping establishment. It’s popular due to its pricing and versatility, so much so that this brand may as well be considered the Jacuzzi of sex lubes.

If you are new to using genital grease, this is a great one to start with, especially since you don’t have to worry about what happens if you spill it on your furniture.

Sustain, personal lubricant unscented

Astroglide22

Type: silicon-base

Rating: four and a half hands

Unfortunately, many lubes have a faint but distinct smell, which some might be hard to get used to at first. Fortunately, that’s not the case here.

Not only is Sustain great for all sorts of body rubbing and wet humping, but it comes with a nice additional benefit few cheaper sex gels can match. While the primary ingredient is silicone, this lube is also made with aloe vera.

This means that not could it help your skin be healthier, this product will also bring you or your girl’s vaginal pH into balance.

There is only one catch when it comes to using this product: it can be a little hard to find even on the internet these days.

Boy Butter

boybutter

Type: oil-based

Rating: four hands

Move over; I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter; this lube is perfect for condom-free sex and is homogenized to look like everyone’s favorite dairy product. However, it doesn’t smell at all; it is edible and doesn’t taste that bad at all.

You don’t need too much during one sex session, even when your banging in the backdoor. Surprisingly, it washes out pretty easily with just a good washing of cold water.

Most likely, you won’t have to worry about it causing any discomfort, but be warned! Some people have reported mild irritation if they apply this in an area that has a wound the size of a simple paper cut.

Use these warming and cooling products and thank me later

Unless you’re doing it in the snow or doing it completely wrong, a good sex session, it’s not hard to get hot while going at it hard. But if you want to add on top of the experience, there are a bunch of scintillating sex grease types on the market. If you like intense contrasting sensations, there are some incredible cooling lubes as well. And so, here are just a few of the best of both.

SVAKOM warming personal lubricant

SVAKOM

Type: water-based

Rating: three and a half hands

This surprisingly long-lasting liquid gives you a comfortable glide and a mildly warm feeling. It’s not all that intense, but loads of people on the web have given this lube plenty of praise. In fact, one of the reviews I read said that they are highly allergic to many things but did not react negatively to using it.

I may be somewhat biased, but I prefer more than a touch of added heat if I use a warming lubricant. Still, if you are new to using warm-up lube or are more on the sensitive side, this is a great product to use.

K-Y warming jelly

KY

Type: water-based

Rating: four and a half hands

Now, this is the kind of KY you should be used for sex instead of the oil-based kind. Just like all of the rest of the gels in this post, it’s gotten a ton of amazing feedback. Just keep in mind that it is only compatible with latex condoms.

That said, in addition to warming feeling and stays where you apply it, it’s been reported that this lube reduces vaginal dryness. Further, it turns out that this is the most recommended brand by physicians in the United States.

Climax bursts cooling lubricant

Type: water-based

Rating: four and a half hands

Not only has it been nearly perfectly formulated, but the bottle also has a fantastic design that is optimized to ease of use and to make it so you can squeeze out every drop of liquid. And believe me, you’ll want to use every bit of it, seeing how extraordinary it’ll make you feel.

I think it’s also pretty neat that this particular gel is infused with vitamin E, so you get a micronutrient boost, too.

JO H2O cooling personal lubricant

H2O

Type: water-based

Rating: four and a half hands

Although it packs a cooling punch, you won’t have to worry about the smell ruining your intimate time as it’s entirely odor-less and sugar-free.

This is another liquid from a trustworthy brand, this product has received well over a thousand positive reviews, and that’s just on Amazon. If you look elsewhere on the net, you’ll find the same sort of feedback posted to web-based retailers.

I don’t know about you, but I believe in numbers, and I don’t think that hundreds of people can be wrong.

Want to engage another sense? Try some funky flavored lubes

I think we’ll all agree: fucking feels fantastic, but I’m not one to pass up a good blow job or go down on a pretty lady. But even if you or your partner are still about weird about oral, or one of you doesn’t taste the best, add some incentive with flavored lubricants.

While it’s been a long time coming looking back in the past, now there are a ton of different options to pick from nowadays.

Astroglide strawberry liquid

AstroglideStrawberry

Type: water-based

Rating: five hands

Yeah, I mentioned this brand before, I know. But I can’t help but talk about another one of the many phenomenal sex enhancers from this brand. The taste is delectable; it’s easy to clean up whether you use water or your tongue and can be used with latex, polyisoprene, and polyurethane rubbers.

Just like the original, this lubricant can be bought at a reasonable price point. The only thing about this lubricant, which is a downer, is that it’s hard to find in brick-and-mortar establishments. There are, however, plenty of places you can go to find it online.

Jo H2O personal lubricant in chocolate delight

Choco

Type: water-based

Rating: four and a half hands

I would say you should try just about any of Jo’s products, but if you ask me, this flavor takes the cake.

Who doesn’t like the taste of chocolate? Well, I suppose those who are allergic to it may not be crazy about it. But most of the rest of us enjoy a nibble on some refined cocoa from time to time.

Besides being an excellent extra for oral fun, you can also use Chocolate Delight with latex condoms and toys. Lastly, despite the sweet flavoring, this product is guaranteed not to get tacky.

Aloe Cadabra (all varieties)

ALoe

Type: water-based

Rating: five hands

I couldn’t limit myself to pick just one flavor for this brand, and that’s because they’re all so good! Not only that, but they come in regular and exotic flavors such as natural mango, peppermint tingle, and butter rum.

I should mention that the last one should is excellent for anal sex, too.

When it comes to features, Aloe Cadabra gels have all the same as the two products mentioned above. Plus, some of them can alleviate menopause dryness and eliminate painful intercourse.

Like lube that tastes and feels like cum? Use these…

I realize that only some of my readers may only be interested in this portion. But don’t skip out for those of you who are (not) feeling weirded out, don’t be.

Some people like the feel of jizzum on their parts, whether it’s theirs or someone else’s. Hence, the reason why I included this section. With that clarification made, all of you should consider looking into using these products.

As with all things, you might be impressed by what you think of what may cum. 🙂

Spunk lube

Spunk

Type: hybrid water- and silicone-based

Rating: five hands

From what I’ve read, nearly everyone has nothing but good things to say about this awesome lube recipe. It feels and looks like genuine jizz even when it comes to consistency and texture.

If you’re feeling particularly kinky, it looks like this lube is edible though the flavor might be different than what you are used to. Furthermore, besides vanilla sex, it can be used for traditional anal fucking and fisting. Another activity I know that some light cummers are into is using this lube to make it look like they made a helluva a mess between their girl’s legs.

If there’s one criticism I have, it’s this: you’ll have to use even more than other water-type lubes to keep the fun going. It’s a good thing that you can buy this product in seven different sizes from sixty millimeters (two ounces) to three and three-quarter liter (one gallon) jugs.

Liquid silk

LiquidSilk

Type: water-based

Rating: five hands

It looks like jizzum but feels so much better when you use it for wanking or working you and your partner to an awesome orgasm. While it is water-based, it contains no glycerin or anything else which might have a tacky feel.

On top of all of this, this lube is has been formulated to be bio-static. That’s a fancy way of saying that it’ll stop the spread of common bacteria and fungi. Just make sure you still use protection; it’s not made to repeal sexual diseases.

I gotta admit that it is on the expensive side, though Britains might be able to spend less since Liquid Silk is manufactured in the UK.

Quality lubes can be made at home, too

Are you looking to save money and improve your sex life at the same time? Then give some of these home-brewed recipes a try. You should be able to find most if not all of the ingredients for at least one of these recommendations at home, if not in your local convenience or grocery store.

There are several recipes out there, most of which I find to be both safe and effective. I’ve written a little bit about this before, but I’ll go over one of my recommended concoctions.

An easy DIY lubricant can be slapped together; just require about fifteen milliliters (or three teaspoons) of corn starch and a quarter liter (AKA a cup) of water. Mix together while on a stove set to low heat and crank it up little by little. Once it becomes gelatinous, take it off quickly and let it cool at room temperature.

This mixture can be used pretty versatile, and guess what (!), you can use it with condoms.

ThePornDude’s final words

I endeavor never to disappoint, and I’m sure that I did not in this one. Still, I have to ask, did you like what you read? If you did, send this video to all of your friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, or whatever term you use for the people you can confide and/or cum in.

While you’re at it, look up a few of my articles. The first one is for my bros – How do you make a homemade fleshlight; the second is for my adoring lady readership: The best sex toys designed for ladies.

Most of them deliver to major locales, if not worldwide. So, be sure to look at those sites and share those articles all around.
