With a name like Jackpota, this next joint sets high expectations even before you click through to check it out. Then again, it’s not like online casinos ever have names like LoserSlots or BustTable. Some will tell you they visit gambling dens, online or off, just for the sheer thrill of the game, but I’m a little more specific in my desires: I’m here because I want to win some money, damn it! For me, the biggest initial draw wasn’t the title’s suggestion of winning big, but the fact that millions of monthly players are trying their luck here when there are so many other options on the market.
If it weren’t for those fat traffic numbers, I’d be a little more skeptical of the front-page claim that Jackpota.com is the “best social casino in the USA”. It’s a bold brag no matter how you look at it, but in this case, there might be something to it. This online casino is packed with games, perks and payouts, but couldn’t most of these platforms make the same promises? With that in mind, I figured I’d pull some levers, place some bets, and see what happens.
Hold Up, It’s Legit Free Forever?
Jackpota has a pretty typical amount of polish for a good online casino, greeting visitors with a colorful spread of games and a header graphic awash in gold and green tokens. As elsewhere, they tease you with a generous 100% welcome bonus the moment you land.
New players can score double coins and 75 spins just for signing up.
I always recommend checking out the Promo page at any online casino, just in case there are freebies not listed out front. Jackpota has surprisingly few promos listed as of this writing, just a singular promise of non-stop jackpots from any game at any time. “The more players join the fun, the bigger the jackpot gets. WOW!” They list recent payouts, which were one of the most enticing elements I spotted in my first few minutes. The titular jackpots of Jackpota are fucking massive. Somebody won nearly 30 million Jackpota gold coins just a few hours before I sat down to right this.
You don’t have to gamble with real money if you don’t want to, though. While it’s not uncommon to find some free play games at any of the better stocked online gambling sites, these guys make a big fucking deal about it. “No purchase required,” they write out front in big, bold letters, adding, “Free forever” and “Have fun without paying.” As we’ll see in a minute here, they weren’t bullshitting about this.
Oh, and it gets better. Players get free gold coins dropped into their wallet every day. The one tiny catch is that you’ve got to log in to cash in, but I bet you were going to anyway. The whole platform is mobile friendly, so it’s literally just a couple taps on your screen while you’re taking your morning dump.
Americans Welcome—Half of You, Anyway
I looked around for a list of countries where Jackpota.com is available, but I couldn’t find one. The platform seems aimed largely at players in the USA, so
most American players are free to gamble here, no VPN required. That said, there’s a surprisingly extensive list of prohibited states. You’ll find out if you’re on that list during the registration process, where the unfortunate locales are labeled as “not available”. I’d read on another site that Californians can’t play, but fortunately for me, that wasn’t the case.
Signup is quick, free and easy, with support for using your Google or Apple credentials to get in even faster. The moment I finished keying in my deets, they offered me a daily reward of 1500 gold coins. Even though it said “no purchase necessary,” I was fucking sure I’d get shuffled to the payment page before I could collect. To my pleasant surprise, they piled the credits on top of other freebies I hadn’t even been aware of. I already had 9,000 in my account and I’d only been a member for seconds.
Gold coins start at a penny under five bucks for a stack of 10,000, which kind of puts those freebies in perspective. It’s still pretty fucking generous compared to the zero complimentary tokens you typically get elsewhere if you’re not spending real money. The bigger surprise to me was just that Jackpota.com ain’t currently accepting crypto. They offer easy but traditional transactions via credit or debit card, so the bitcoin nerds will have to convert some of their imaginary money into the real thing first.
No Sluts Available, but Check Out the Slots
Once I got my Jackpota.com account set up, it was time to play, and hopefully it was time to win as well. I figured I’d head straight to the slots, my usual first stop at any online casino. Weirdly, this is one of very few platforms that doesn’t stick all of them in one big room labeled “Slots”. Honestly, I’m struggling to remember the last time I saw a site with a setup like this.
Either way, you’ll find hundreds of casino-style games to play right now. There are different numbers listed around the website, alternately claiming there are 700 or 1500 games available. Well, if you look under the All Games tab, there are just under 400 to test your luck with. I’m not sure if this is because they lost some games or they’re in the process of getting more, but they’re working with the same set of trustworthy game providers you see on any reputable gambling site.
The spread includes plenty of slots, naturally, many of which are filed under the Classic and Unlimited Play categories, plus a few Jackpota Exclusive Slots. You’ll also find whole sections devoted to Hold and Win, 3 Pots Mania and Megaways. There’s an Arcade section listed up top but not in the sidebar menu, where you’ll find a handful of scratch games. You’ll have to hit the brick-and-mortar arcade if you want to play Street Fighter against some silent autistic kid who crushes you in mere seconds.
I spent a few minutes sticking some of my complimentary gold coins into a recently added game called Oil Barons. My wallet got slimmer, got fatter, and then lost a little more. When I finally stood up and wandered down the hall, I’d almost broken even. The odds certainly don’t seem terrible, but it wasn’t quite my game at that moment.
A Lonely Little Room in the Back of a Casino
Next, I made my way to Jackpota’s Social Live Casino section. There’s a big spiel about what makes their live casino different, and then they list a few games you’re supposed to be able to play within. It says they have live blackjack, live sic bo and live game shows among others, but it was not to be—at least not today!
I’m not sure exactly what the deal is, but what I visited today, the only game in this section is live roulette with a real human dealer. Jackpota has partnered with a couple respectable live game providers, Iconic21 and Playtech, so I’m guessing this is just a temporary setback. Hopefully there will be a bigger selection by the time you read this. If not, well, I’ve got a whole list of Betting Sites ranked and reviewed here at ThePornDude.
With a limited selection of live games and no sportsbook, Jackpota.com is easier to recommend to fans of the more automated styles of casino entertainment like slots, hold and win, and megaways. I’d love to see some more ways to wager, risk and win, but even without them, the platform is also a dead simple recommendation to cheapskate gambling fans who don’t necessarily need the biggest risks nor the huge-ass rewards. They’re not bullshitting about their emphasis on freebies here, and I was surprised by just how much I was able to do even before funding my account. If nothing else, grab those free coins you get at signup and see how far they carry you.
