Fanvue is one of those sites that I might not have assumed offered porno if I just stumbled upon the joint myself. The front page is clean as a whistle, both in terms of the polished layout and the total lack of NSFW material on display. Instead, I was greeted by DJs hyping up crowds, athletes getting ready to compete, and fully clothed influencers smiling for the camera along with an expansive list of AI-powered features. I’m genuinely curious how much they’re making on the wholesome material, because the tour seems almost designed to chase away pervs like us.
Of course, I wouldn’t be writing about Fanvue.com here at ThePornDude if it didn’t have some masturbatory potential. The site is an Onlyfans-style content platform where creators can interact with and hawk media straight to their fans. At around 12 million visitors a month, they ain’t quite as popular as the big OF, but those numbers have been rising in recent months. I’d reviewed the site when they first opened, but the surge in traffic got me curious to see how they’ve switched things up since then. Let’s find out, huh?
Show Me to the Girls, Please
Somebody on Reddit said Fanvue was started by a couple OnlyFans models who wanted a platform with better features, and I carried around that false info for years. Turns out, it was actually started by a YouTuber and a tech entrepreneur in 2020, but the basic premise still stands. Despite the invitations for musicians and footballers to sign up, I believe it was always intended as an OnlyFans alternative. Models see it that way, too, and in this case, their opinion may be even more important than your favorite professional masturbator’s.
It’s obviously got some of the same problems as its inspiration. OnlyFans has gotten a little better about teasing adult content out front, and their search functions are marginally better than they used to be. When I review imitators, I’m always looking to see if and how they’ve improved on OF’s weak-ass discovery system.
Fanvue.com takes a weird approach here. Their Discovery page out front is almost entirely useless to the horny people in the audience, with just a full-screen row of featured creators. There’s an AI influencer, a model/podcaster, a musician and a couple athletes, but no homemade pornstars to be seen. The magnifying glass icon on the front page just leads back to the same half dozen featured creators.
This actually might be an interface glitch, but one that could be chasing away potential customers. After I added a single adult creator subscription, that magnifying glass icon led me to a feed of free, sexy video snippets. It’s like a naughtier version of Instagram, and while it’s kind of a random way of finding models, it’s at least something. If you see something you like, the creator’s profile is just a click away.
There is a text-based search function, but it’s lackluster in the typical way for the genre, sifting through usernames instead of keywords. I found a handful of results for Feet, Anal and Asian, but only when those words were part of a model’s name. Some basic refinement would make this feature so much more useful.
I’m not sure if you’ve seen it yet, but I’ve ranked and reviewed a list of the best Premium OnlyFans Accounts to help offset the challenges of searching the social porn giant. I recently added a similar list for MYM creators, and I might end up needing to do the same for Fanvue. It’s a shitty situation, and for the life of me, I’ll never understand it. The general lack of search options isn’t just a bummer for fans, but it’s like leaving money on the table when it comes to creators and the platform itself, too.
What’s in It for the Models?
I know most of my readers are going to be gawking at Fanvue.com from the fan end, but it’s worth looking at the perks for creators. When the platform first launched, they were offering creators 85% of what they pulled in, a more generous payout than the standard OnlyFans 80%.
They still pay more than OnlyFans, but only for the first month. OF sets the trends here, and I’m still surprised that more copycats aren’t trying to undercut them to get more models to jump ship.
Fanvue is also joining the AI-everything trend, going as far as calling themselves “the No1 AI monetization platform for creators.” They don’t have any image generators or other porn-baking tools just yet, but they’ve just unveiled a new AI voice calls feature. “Speak to every fan like they’re the only one,” reads the blurb.
I can see some obvious upsides and downsides to this, but I certainly appreciate the transparency. If you read my reviews, you know I have no problem sexting with a bot, but I like to know when it’s a bot. Fanvue’s AI Voice Notes feature checks off similar boxes, good and bad, and they promote it to creators thusly: “Build deeper intimacy, without hours in your inbox.”
Fanvue is also a generally AI-friendly platform. There’s a growing number of AI creators uploading AI content, something I would have seen as a downside a year or two ago. The current crop of AI porn generators are amazing and continually improving, though, and a lot of you won’t even recognize some of the material as being AI-generated. The folks behind Fanvue love AI chicks so much they even run an international AI beauty pageant called Miss AI.
Getting into the Good Stuff (Porn!)
According to the front page at Fanvue,
over 200,000 creators are uploading material straight to their fanbases. My big question, of course, is just how many of those creators are adult models and how many are the artists, fashion bloggers and fitness buffs they show us on the front page. My feed seems to consist entirely of beautiful women, but I’m not sure if that’s based on my current subscriptions.
I already had a handful of Fanvue links in my browser, just like you’d expect for an insatiable fap addict. Today I pulled up Kimi Halton’s profile and got a damn fine spread of lingerie pics, ass shots and other racy imagery. The searchability may suck, but Fanvue does have a lot of free content if you know where to look. I’m actually on a free trial of Kimi’s monthly subscription that will renew at $4, but unlike most platforms, you don’t have to enter your credit card digits for the freebies. If you forget to add them by the time renewal time comes, they just cut you off until you do.
Models set their own prices like they would anywhere, and have the option to offer both memberships and paywalled content. The naughtier stuff tends to cost more, and yeah, Kimi’s got a couple non-subscription posts that go much harder than the included material. Her membership is cheap, but she’s got a $19 full-nude collection with 3 pics and a vid for $19.
Jerking off to the nudes and dirty movies is only part of the fun of modern amateur porno, as I’m sure most of you already know. Fanvue members can hit up their favorite creators directly, and I already had a message from Kimi in my inbox. “hey luv!! Just noticed you subbed, thanks! Not sure if you actually like chatting on here, but I’m down to get to know each other.” The message was studded with emojis, just like your girlfriend would do if you had one. Keep in mind, you get the best interactions on these platforms if you’re spending money, so don’t neglect that Tip button!
In case you couldn’t tell, my biggest complaint about Fanvue.com is just the general lack of searchability and browsability. It’s frustrating, because the place is obviously full of beautiful women trying to show everyone their boobies, but they can be difficult to find unless they randomly pop into your feed. Still, there’s enough in the way of freebies to keep the cheapskates engaged, with even hotter premium content just clicks away. Overall, the interface is beautifully designed and works well when you know where to look. If they just rolled out a search function as efficient as everything else, these guys could take on OnlyFans.
