She decided to do porn after seeing The Autography of a flea (first adult film directed by a woman) alone at a theatre in San Francisco and made a debut into the industry in the ’80s. Since then she hasn’t looked back, winning a few AVN, XRCO among other awards and apart from her vast knowledge about sex that led her to write sensual books, become a sex activist and she has also lectured in universities such as Harvard. Shelly Lubben
Shelly, commonly known in the porn industry as Roxy was an American author, singer, motivational speaker, and porn actress. After she left the porn industry, Lubben became a born again Christian and anti-pornography activist. And besides appearing in life After Porn Ends documentary, she was a Director at Pink Cross Foundation back in 2008 to 2016, which reaches out to women and men in the porn industry to try and sensitize them on the dangerous working conditions in the porn industry. The organization however closed down in 2016 after she was ordained Chaplain with the order of Saint Martin with a degree in Theological studies. Being a strong advocate against porn, she published a few books, e.g. Truth Behind the Fantasy of Porn and continued with his anti-pornography movement until February 9, 2019, when she met her death (RIP Lubben).
Jake Bass
Jake Bass also known as Jake Kelly Bass and Jacob Kelly Bass, is a Canadian model, influencer and ex-actor bisexual porn. His career in adult film began in early 2011 and ended in mid-2015. Jake has been on the cover of several magazines, including Gay Times, Männer Magazine and Fantastics Magazine. His most recent appearance was in December 2017, when Jake appeared on the cover of Fantastics an online magazine about culture and style.
Jenna Jameson
Jenna Jameson or Jenna Marie Massoli is probably the worldliest renown queen of porn born from back in the ’70s. This gorgeous woman and founder of Club Jenna, an adult entertainment company, is also a famous film actress, businesswoman, model, writer, and television personality. She began her career in porn back in 1993 after having worked as a stripper and glamour model. Her career in porn led her to win a total of 35 awards before she finally announced her retirement in the 2008 AVN Awards; swearing never to do porn again. However, she has since moved from mainstream porn and is now actively working as a webcam model since 2013.
Mia Khalifa
Mia Khalifa also known as Mia Callista, a Lebanese born American is known for her infamous career in the porn industry that kicked up well in 2014 where she was ranked as the number 1 performer on Pornhub. However, her three months career came crushing fast from too much Middle Eastern controversy resulting from her use of hijab. And according to her, threats from ISIS were coming in strong. After quitting she worked in Miami as a Paralegal and bookkeeper, later on transitioning to a social media personality, webcam model and sports commentator who runs her own YouTube channel. In 2018, she was announced to co-host SportsBall alongside Tyler Coe.
Ron Jeremy
Ronald Jeremy Hyatt also famously known as The Hedgehog is an American porn actor, filmmaker, actor, and stand-up comedian. Jeremy was ranked by AVN at No.1 in the top 50 list of all-time porn stars. Most of his mainstream non-pornographic appearances can be associated with films, television, music, video games, advertisements, businesses, and a few books. Actually, there is a documentary about his legacy entitled; Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy filmed by director Scott J. Gill released back in 2001. Additionally, he won a couple of awards AVN, AFAA among others before things started not looking good for him from lots of sexual allegations led to him being banned from AVN awards in 2017 and on April 2018 TMZ reported that he was being investigated out of the numerous sex assault reports, which is probably the last thing heard of him.

Christy Canyon, a retired porn actress, and American radio personality, currently works as an inductee of the AVN and XRCO Hall of Fame. Linda Lovelace
Linda Susan Boreman was an American pornographic actress known for her hardcore performance in the 70s especially featuring Deep Throat scenes. Although the film was an enormous success at the time, Boreman later claimed that her abusive husband, Chuck Traynor, had threatened and coerced her into becoming a porn performer. In her autobiography Ordeal, she went ahead to describe what went on behind the scenes. Later she became a born again Christian and a spokeswoman for the anti-pornography movement. Unfortunately, Linda died only at the age of 53 years in 2002 after having been involved in a bad automobile accident.
Tera Patrick
Tera Patrick also Linda Ann Hopkins was an American porn actress and model who is the penthouse pet of the month for 2000 and is currently an inductee for the NightMoves, AVN and XRCo Halls of Fame. Patrick retired from the porn industry back in 2008 but continued to operate her adult films production company alongside her other businesses. She is known for hosting awards, e.g. the XBIZ Awards back in 2013. However, her most recent appearance was in 2018 in the Time magazine as a model and artist alongside other adult film actresses.
