It is not a stretch to say that both males and females at some point in their lives have questioned their bodies and even harshly judged their body imperfections against the perfection displayed by the media in general, billboards, on magazine covers and what have you. Many women and men have at some point harbored faint thoughts altering their features to achieve that perfection. Others with the resources have put their dreams into action, undergoing various cosmetic surgeries to ‘improve’ their looks.
But when the procedure goes wrong, as it sometimes does, the victim becomes the subject of ridicule and in this era of the social media and that could have dire consequences. Today we look at the porn stars who’ve been at the wrong end of a plastic surgery.
Farrah Abraham
If you were planning to schedule a body augmentation surgery, Farrah Abraham might make you rethink your decision. The “Teen Mom” turned porn star shared the photos of her botched lip surgery on her Twitter account with an ominous caption: “Girlfriends don’t say I didn’t warn ya! #BOTCHED California #ER #fixit.”
Apparently, she had an allergic reaction to the anesthetic used in the botched lip procedure, which was actually a new procedure she wanted to try out. It involves doctors putting an implant in your lip. This is actually not the first time Farrah has gone under the knife having previously admitted to a nose job, chin implants, and two boob jobs although they had far better results compared to her lip operation.
Rina Nanase
Another who was left regretting a plastic surgery is Japanese AV idol Rina Nanase. The pornstar and model was looking to give her face a more pixie-like look, but judging from the reaction from fans, the results were far from satisfactory. The oriental lass who makes adult movies as Rumi Kanda has been open about her search for perfection, documenting previous surgical procedures intended to thin down her cheeks, sharpen her chin, lengthen her nose, and enlarge her eyes. The reactions from her followers were less than complimentary, with some saying she resembles Dobby the elf from the Harry Potter movies which is not an entirely flattering comparison.
Kimber James
Read this correctly; ex-pornstar Kimber James had twenty-four plastic surgeries by the age of 23. They included five breast surgeries, breast augmentations, liposuction, and chin shavings among others. They left her with more parts to fix including her vagina which looked like a baseball mitt, her nostrils which were caving in, and ended up hating her breast implants and is reportedly looking for more natural ones.
Mia Maffia
Transgender porn star Mia Maffia was one of the first British porn stars to have a butt implant, but that nearly sent her to an early grave when they exploded. Mia was left in immense pain following her first “bubble bum” surgery in 2015. She has since revealed that she is seeking another procedure to correct the first which will follow various other procedures she has undergone including two boob jobs and various cosmetic surgeries on her face. The procedures involve a butt and hip implant from a glass material. “Unlike boobs and bum implants that use silicone, they use PMMA — a chemical found in glass to fill the hips and make fibers inside that they spread and harden,” she said last year of the material she intends to use this time around.
She doesn’t seem to mind the critics either: “Of course I get criticism for having so much surgery, but it’s my body, and I do with it as I choose. If I can look back on life and say I created the ultimate body for myself — I’ll be totally satisfied with life.”
Lianne Young
Mother of two and famous porn star Lianne Young thought she was booking a routine procedure to replace her breast implants, but she ended up missing death by a whisker.
She was 27 when she had her first breast implant. By then she’d already had a successful career in porn, but after two kids she felt her chest wasn’t firm enough. Her then boyfriend also preferred women with large breasts and actually offered to pay for her boob job. Things were fine until the breasts were due to be replaced to a tune of £5,000.
The aftermath of this operation left her with blood poisoning, necrotizing fasciitis and a blood clot from her upper arm to the top of her chest. She even blocked her two children from visiting her in hospital, where she would spend the whole day crying and regretting the boob job. At some point, she was even planning her own funeral and writing farewell letters to her children.
After such a traumatic experience, Lianne has some advice for young girls looking to have cosmetic surgery: think twice.
