For one, a petition to have k*ddie porn removed from the site got well over 425,000 signatories after a series of accusations have come forth that smut featuring m*nors has appeared on the site.<\/p>\n

(To be honest, I don\u2019t know how true that all is since I don\u2019t go looking for that sick shit.)<\/p>\n

Along with all of that, people had complained that there were uploads that should non-consensual sexual behavior as well. This reputation has earned the site the scorn of the popular press in recent times which led to credit card companies preventing customers from paying for premium content on PornHub.<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course, the other big problem that PornHub and all other tubes<\/a> have had is the issue of cyberpiracy and copypasta. And so, with all of these problems, on Monday, December 14th<\/sup><\/strong> 2020 <\/strong>PornHub posted that they were engaged in \u201cthe most comprehensive safeguards in user-generated platform history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Specifically, the porn giant had and would continue a policy of:<\/p>\n

\u2022 preventing unverified profiles from adding new content of any sort
\n\u2022 requiring uploaders to verify by taking a pic of themselves holding a face shot and username
\n\u2022 eliminating the download option of most videos on the platform
\n\u2022 purging any and all content that had not been created by verified PornHub users<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That last point was in practice perhaps the most dramatic since the total number of videos went from 13.5 million to\u00a0under <\/em>3 million.<\/p>\n

Amusingly, PornHub staff poked fun at TikTok, Facebook, and other popular social media companies for not having the same safety measures that they now have.<\/p>\n
